Solar Projects

One of three solar installations at Polly Hill Arboretum, this array helps protect the nonprofit from rising utility costs while supporting its environmental goals.

InstiTutional benefits

Solar is possible—even in the historic district! For this project, we specified interior conduit and all-black panels before securing approval from the Edgartown Historic District Commission on behalf of our clients.

AEsTHETICS

We wire every solar array with future EV charging in mind, so that when you're ready to take the next step towards electrification, your infrastructure will be ready too!

EV Charging

When MV Shipyard reached out about adding solar to their Vineyard Haven campus, they had one pressing question: could the panels withstand seagulls dropping clams on them? To find out, we staged a "clam slam"—dropping bushels from a height. Littlenecks, cherrystones, and steamers passed with flying colors. Quahogs caused a few cracks, but luckily, gulls can't lift them.

Marine Environments

For Vineyard Gardens owner Chuck Wiley, selecting a local company that would be readily available in case of an issue was crucial. We monitor every system we install. Every day. If something needs attention, there's a good chance we'll notice it before you do.
